Angelo Santos passed peacefully on October 3, 2018 at the age of 82. He was born on August 9, 1936 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to the late Monserrate Medina and Victorio Santos. Angelo was a loving father to his three daughters, Waida Santos, Maggie Santos (deceased) and Lisa Hidalgo. He was a dedicated grandfather to Ivelyse, Michael, Mikey, Justine, Tina, Ryan, Kevin (deceased), Elissa and eight great grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, many nieces, nephews and their children.
Angelo loved to tend to his garden where he grew flowers, plants and fruits from seed. He shared his love of family and nature with everyone he met. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan and collected Yankee memorabilia, owls, and coins. He was an accomplished dancer and as a young man performed on local television in New York.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the kind and gracious staff at HPA Hospice that lovingly cared for Angelo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to HPH Hospice of Hernando or the Alzheimer’s Association.
