Arva Lois Whitehead, 77, of Hudson, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida to Roy and Jeanette Bateman. She was the original stay at home mom, she was a loving mother and wife who gave everything to her family and took great pride in all that she did. She was a devote Christian who truly loved Jesus and took every opportunity she had to share her faith and the plan of salvation with those she came in contact with. She had a love for gardening and her and her husband started a little nursery.
After her kids were grown, she loved traveling the country with her husband David who was an over the road truck driver. They spent every day together until David went home to be with the Lord.
Arva loved her family and truly enjoyed every visit with her siblings and talking about the good old days growing up in St Petersburg, Fl. Her children were always close by and she got such joy and happiness from the time she would get to spend with them, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arva was always full of joy and love for her family and those around her. The last 7-1/2 years were hard at times but she never complained and no matter what she was experiencing she always thought of others. Like asking all who entered the house are you hungry? Can we make you something to eat? She always wanted those around her to feel comfortable and loved. She truly was a Proverbs 31: 10-31 woman. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband David of 44years, and her son David Alden Whitehead.
She is survived by her children Robert, Tamara, Laura, John, Nathan, Rebekah, Matthew, and Julianna; siblings Gilbert, Sharon, James and Joann; 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Please join us to celebrate Arva’s Life and legacy.
