David Ronald Campbell, born July 13, 1928, passed away May 14th, 2016. Married to his beloved Uny Campbell, who passed in 2009, they are at last reunited. Known all his life as "Ron", he was proud to have graduated from Staunton Military Academy in Virginia. His career was in sales, but his "true" occupation was golf. He loved the game, his friends on the links, especially those at Silverthorn Country Club in Florida, and spent many vacations with his wife Uny playing the game around the country. Ron had one son, Brad, a daughter, Mary Ann, and four grandchildren, Stephani, Kasi, Mark and Christopher. He was particularly fond of Uny's nephew Guy Fisher and his wife Pam. Ron was raised in Ohio and West Virginia, the son of David and Mildred Campbell, owners of a local grocery where he learned sales and the "gift of gab". The family thanks the wonderful staff of Crown Pointe Assisted Living, where "Dad" spent the last several years of his life and thanks in particular his long term aide, Deanna Julbe, of Spring Hill, Florida, for delivering such loving care. A private family memorial will be held in his memory in Brooksville, Florida and again in Wheeling, West Virginia later in the year. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of Spring Hill, Florida.
