Elaine was the wife of Kenneth W. Cotton Jr of Spring Hill, FL. Elaine and Ken were married for over 50 years and had many adventures together traveling and enjoying their time in Florida. Elaine was an avid lover of cooking, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. One of the ways Elaine showed her family love was by cooking them meals and sharing traditional Lebanese dishes that she hoped to pass on to her children Kelly and Kevin. Elaine also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who called her Grammy. She would send them money from the “Florida Tooth Fairy” when they lost a tooth, taught them many card games, like Old Maid, and overall her face would light up whenever she spent time with Brighton, Kinley, Jack or Samuel. Elaine also enjoyed embroidery, reading, and spending time with her children and friends. She enjoyed yoga and loved bunnies.
Sadly, about a year ago, Elaine became ill from cancer and had a courageous battle that she tragically lost. Elaine kept in good spirits throughout her journey and was always positive and hopeful. She taught us all grace, humor, and love. Elaine will be greatly missed by her family and friends, whom she always held dear to her heart. She is survived by her husband, Ken; her daughter, Kelly; her son, Kevin and his wife, Ashley, and their four children, Brighton, Kinley, Jack and Sam. She is also survived by her brother and sisters from CT. The family invites you to celebrate Elaine’s life on February 8th at Merritt Funeral Home in Spring Hill.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Merritt Funeral Home - Spring Hill, 4095 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL 34609, where Funeral Services begin at 12:00pm.
