

Frank J. Santoro, age 79, of Brooksville, (High Point) Florida. Frank Died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Oak Hill Hospital, in Brooksville. He was a 9 year resident of High Point coming from Cleveland, OH. Frank was born on January 7, 1936, to the late Joseph and Angelina (Marra) Santoro, in Cleveland, OH. Frank retired from Emery Air Freight in the greater Cleveland area after many years of service, as a delivery route truck driver. Frank loved golfing, and singing karaoke, and he was especially fond of Frank Sinatra hits such as My Way, and After The Lovin’. A veteran of the Korean War, Frank served in the US Army from 1953 – 1956. Frank was a member of the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, and served as a Eucharistic Minister and as an Usher. He was also a member of the Cleveland, OH Teamsters Union, and the American Legion in Cleveland, and Brooksville, FL. Post # 186. Frank was preceded in death by all of siblings; Thomas, Madeline, Josephine, Alex, Anthony, Nancy, Sue, and Olivia. Frank is survived by his wife of 9 years, Margaret Santoro, of Brooksville (High Point) FL., daughter, Angela Santoro, son, Frank John Santoro, Jr. and his significant other Mary Shoemaker, Son, Joseph Santoro and his wife Kim, daughter, Lois Double and her husband Mark, Son, Thomas Santoro and his significant other, Heidi Hopkins, daughter, Vicki Slanders, and son, Curtis Slanders and his wife Jackie. Frank also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill Drive Chapel, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL., from 2-4 pm. A Wake service will be held at the FH at 3 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church at 9:30 am. Military Honors will be bestowed 11:30 am by the Spring Hill VFW Post 10209, at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL., just prior to the burial. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hernando Pasco Hospice Foundation, 12107 Majestic Blvd. Hudson, Fl., 34667, or for a memorial mass in Frank’s memory.
