Georgine “Gigi” Vitola, age 64, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, in her home in Floral City. Born in Leesburg, Gigi later made her home in Brooksville, where she built a life centered on love, faith, and service to others. Above all else, she cherished being a mom and a friend. Her children and grandchildren were the heart of her world, and she poured herself into them with endless devotion. Gigi was known for her kindness, boundless energy, and her willingness to help anyone in need. She had a gift for making people feel seen and cared for. A woman of God, she did her best to live her faith every day, leading by example through compassion, generosity, and love.
She is loved and survived by her sister, Cheryl Hutton; her five children: Lindsay Card, Brandon Vitola, David Vitola, Jared Vitola, & Elizabeth Vitola; their spouses: Alex Card, Mari Goodwin, & Andrea Vitola; and her four beloved grandchildren: Liam Vitola, Lucas Vitola, James Card, and Lucy Card, who will continue to carry her legacy forward.
A service celebrating Gigi’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31, at 2:00 PM at Spring Lake United Methodist Church, 4191 Spring Lake Highway, Brooksville, FL 34601.
Her love, her goofy laugh, and her generous spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
