Helen Rogers Helms

Helen Rogers Helms, age 100, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Brooksville Health Care Center, in Brooksville, Fl. Helen was born on June 28, 1916, in Bangor, Alabama, to the late, James Peter Rogers and Della (Graves) Rogers McAnnally. Helen is also preceded in death by her siblings: Aubrey Anderson Rogers, Ray Whaley Rogers, Della Ruth Rogers and Ila McAnnally Fewell. Husband of 66 years, Quentin Helms, in 2001 and daughter Mary Sue Helms Buzbee, in 1984. Helen moved to the Tampa Bay area including Pinellas County, FL, in 1962 coming from Birmingham, AL. and came to Brooksville, FL to be close to her daughter 8 years ago. Baptist by faith, Helen belonged to the Oldsmar Baptist Church for many years. Helen was well known for being a very good homemaker. Helen is lovingly survived by her daughters: Patricia Helms White (Ron), Judy Helms Weeks (Ed) and Jennie Helms Wyandt (Dennis), Five Grandchildren: Barry Helms White (Dawn), Charles Brian Dayhuff (Vanessa), Jonathan James Wyandt, Janet Blevins Wood, and Brooke Wyandt Leske (Darren), and greatly missed by her 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
