Joseph Salvatore Di Landro

Joseph was born in Yonkers, New York City (NY) on November 13th, 1928. Joseph graduated and received his diploma from Wappingers High School (NY).

Joseph was a loving father of three boys and was married to his beloved Patricia for 67 years.

Joseph was a United States Navy Medical Corpsman. After the Navy he worked most of his life for Texaco and on his families farm.

In later years Joseph worked many years for and retired from IBM. He then was right-hand man to his son, John, for many hours in the blazing Florida sun helping to build and maintain a thriving lawn service. When he should have been long done and retired, he continued on in the cafeteria at Hudson High School and made many more friends there.

Joseph was the sweetest, most gentle man. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who were lucky enough to have had him in their lives. Joseph was the staple of what true love and marriage stands for. Joseph loved and cared for his wife Patricia since high school. In their later years together Patricia became ill and at 93 years old Joseph took care of her and kept a smile on her face until her very last day. After she passed Joseph spoke about Patricia daily as if it was the time in which they had first met as kids. Their love for each other was beyond measure. One of Josephs many wonderful traits was his love for animals, over the years he and Patricia had taken in and cared for many stray cats, dogs, and even raccoons giving them a warm, safe, and loving home.

He is survived by his sons Michael and John, his grandchildren Joseph, Kristen, and Dylan and his great-grandchildren William, Ellie, and Beatrix.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Turner Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at External Service Location, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
