Joseph James Schicchi

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 7, 1943 to the late Vincent and Jean (Gaston) Schicchi.

He was raised in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Lafayette High School in June of 1961.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 – 1970 and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Joe met his loving wife, Daria, in 1981 and was married in July 1987. The couple relocated to Spring Hill, Florida in July 1988.

He was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Jean Schicchi, his sister Angie and her husband, Bob Manganiello, his sister Jean and her husband John Abbaticchio and his brother Anthony Schicchi.

He was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Daria.

He was survived by his loving niece, Gina Poggi, nephews Vincent and Christopher Schicchi, great nieces Jeanine, Danielle, Tina and Cori and several loving cousins.

Joe worked primarily in the retail business for many years before retiring.

He had a love for his German Shepherds and throughout the years had several of them that he loved, trained and spoiled endlessly. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Tampa Bay Rays. Joe’s favorite place to go was K9 Partners for Patriots in Brooksville, FL. He was part of their extended family. A Committal Service will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at a later date.
