Leon Bryant

Leon Bryant, age 80, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. Born in Logan, West Virginia, to the late Alonzo & Wealtha (Hensley) Bryant, in November 30, 1934. He was a resident of Spring Hill for 25 years coming from Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Bryant retired from General Motors after 41 years as an automotive assembler. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and especially his loving family. He was Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Tava Adams Bryant, his daughter Cathy Girgis, his son, Danny Bryant and by his granddaughter, Tava Trattles. Mr. Bryant will be missed by his daughters: Weathi McQuinn and Patricia Bryant and her husband Ronald Trattles, of Spring Hill, FL; his son-in-law, Magdy Girgis of Spring Hill, FL; grandson, Eric Shaw and his fiancé Sarah Hughes of Inverness, FL; 2 granddaughters: Ashley Girgis and Chelsea Trattles, both of Spring Hill; his spouse, Sandra K. Bryant of Spring Hill; sister-in-law, Debra Rodriguez and her husband Jr. of Spring Hill, FL and by “Big Boy” Rodriguez and by numerous siblings residing in West Virginia. The family and friends will gather for a visitation from 6 – 8 PM on Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill Drive Chapel, @ 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL. 34609. Cremation will follow, and he will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in West Virginia.
