Dear Val, Natalie, Anthony and Family,

I’m thinking of you at this heartbreaking time. Knowing Marie and your family since our boys were in pre-school and soccer(1991) together. She was always giving with her time and of course the best cook! I’ll always remember with fond memories the laughs and fun times we had in the school kitchen and bus garage. I was truly blessed that I got to know her. She will be greatly missed; may you be comforted by your many memories of her and with her.

My heart broke when I just this evening read the news of mom’s passing.  Some of the best times I had in the Ville was with Marie, and at your house. 
From, Are We Gonna Eat or What? To giving me three cappuccino’s at 10 pm.  I had fireworks going off in my eyes.   When the Blazek’s moved Lindsay asked if we could move across the street from Marie. 
She was the kindest, funniest, most generous person ever.

Dear Debbie:   I was just  thinking of you both today and looked up Marie only to find her obituary. I am so sorry for your loss. Often think of our childhood on Doherty Ave in Elmont and how much fun I had at your house with your mom (who I loved) and your grandma's wonderful cooking in the basement. God Bless You.

I'll never forget you Marie. Our conversations in my comadres' Stella's kitchen and all your good advice. Because I lived far from Washingtonville NY where they lived I would worry about the traffic. Marie would make believe she was looking at her watch and make fun, "Oh Lali is worried about the traffic" She would laugh, and so would I. A wonderful woman, devoted to her family and a good friend. Dear Val and Family,

We are really saddened by the Loss of Marie.  She was larger than life, in all she did.  She was salt of the earth, making make you laugh and telling stories or a joke that would keep you laughing all day.  She was fierce as mother and friend as you can have.  She could cook anything from what every you had in the pantry. Her house would bring back the smells and tastes of my Grandmother's kitchen.  She could curse like a sailor and pray to God with the next breath.  She was great, we will miss her.  We will meet again.

I was heartbroken to hear about my dear friend Marie’s passing. My deepest condolences to all of you for your loss. I hope you find comfort in the love that surrounds you and the cherished memories you hold in your heart.
Marie was truly a special person who brought kindness, joy and laughter to all that knew her. 
I feel so grateful to have shared so many meaningful moments and so much laughter with her and will cherish those memories.

Marie and I were pregnant together almost 40years ago. Marie with Anthony and me with Brigid. We called then Bam Bam and Pebbles when they were born. We laughed all the time. Marie was the first person to cut all three of my children’s hair. Marie taught me how to  marinated eggplant and mushrooms. I had my first cup of espresso at her house. I will miss you my friend, thank you for our time together.

Dear Val, Natalie and Josh, Anthony and Alex and all those beautiful babies.....to know Marie, was to love her. We worked together for years in the kitchen at WHS as "Lunch Ladies".  How many HS students can say that their "lunch ladies" had the radio blasting and sang and danced with them on a daily basis, we did.  She was the best Mom, the best Nonna, the best cook, the person who was always there to save you when you needed saving. We used to say she was "the friend of the friendless", which means she was an angel. We will miss her more than words can say and you, her family, have my sincerest and most heartfelt condolences.

My heart is broken for you all. Marie was one of my favorite people. A real straight shooter who was kind, loving and would give you the shirt off her back in a heartbeat.  Although we lost touch after she moved away, I will continue to have nothing but fond memories of her.
