Marta Alvear

Marta Alvear, a beloved and cherished resident of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on January 19, 1937, in Cartagena, Colombia, Marta was known for her faithful and hard-working nature.

Marta's early life began in the vibrant city of Cartagena, where she was born. After moving to Spring Hill, she, along with her husband, opened a successful business, Alvear Cleaning Service, dedicating their efforts to new construction site cleaning and residential and commercial cleaning, embodying her diligent work ethic.

On September 6, 1953, she married the love of her life, Luis Eduardo Alvear. Together, they built a loving family, raising five children: Luis Daniel, Rodrigo Eduardo, Jairo Jesus, Raimundo Cristo, and Idalia C. Roman "Alvear". Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Nicole, Natalie, Daniella, Jessica, Alex, David, Lauren Murphy (Alvear), Jennifer Marie Alvear, Erica, Crystal, Raymond, Daniel, Arthur, Martin, and Victoria.

Marta's personal interests included a deep devotion to the Lord, as well as a passion for cooking, sewing, and participating in church and Latin club activities. Her life was a testament to her dedication to her family and community.
