

Patty was born in Washington, D.C. on October 4, 1961. She grew up in Southern Maryland and graduated from Thomas Stone High School in 1980. She found her passion for horses on the small family farm and started out barrel racing and other western speed events at local horse shows. Eventually, Patty moved to Charlestown, WV where she worked her way up to becoming one of the top Jockeys. After retiring from being a jockey she became a horse trainer and breeder with her husband Ashby.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ashby; her mother, Patricia; her father, William; and her sister, Christine.
Patty is survived by her loving family that will miss her dearly, sisters, Marion (Henry) and Catherine (Randy); her nieces, Catherine (Jason), Laura (George), Allison (Samuel), Kayla (Jose), Brittany, and Niyah; her nephews, Darius (Katie), Alex, Mason, and Julian. And of course her beloved dog, Bruce.
Patty also leaves behind many other relatives, dear friends, and neighbors. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Patty will be remembered for her passion for animals, her pranks and jokes, the love she had for her family and her love of dancing to Motown music. She enjoyed fishing/crabbing and an ice-cold Coors light.
