Born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 19, 1953, he spent the majority of his life here in Florida. Richard was a public school teacher for over 30 years, simply trying to make a difference in the lives of his students.
Affectionately nicknamed "Buddy" by his grandson, Richard was adored by many. He had a love for traveling and spent many summers taking his family on spontaneous adventures. He was a true cowboy at heart, and enjoyed watching western movies and TV shows. He built many lifelong friendships and was always available for a good laugh, or to offer advice and support to anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed.
Richard leaves behind his children, Brooke and Devin; his three grandchildren, William, Lilyana, and Odessa Hope. As well as his ex-wife Alicia Haya Greene. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Greene.
Memorial services will be held at 5:30pm on January 21, 2022, at Turner Funeral Homes in Spring Hill. A celebration of life will be held after the services.
