He was born in Ottawa, Ks to Freda and Robert Williamson. They moved to Olathe in 1957. Roger was a a Class of 1961 graduate of Olathe High School. He married Virginia in 1962 and had 2 children. He retired from Delco Battery in Olathe, Ks as a machinist after 36 years. His passion for cars carried as past president of Heart of America Chevy Owners Club, a member of the Pontiac Oakland Car Club and the past president of the Late Great Chevy Owners Club. He enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, KU basketball and the Tampa Bay Rays. He loved his Saturday mornings with his buddies in the Breakfast Club.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia M. Williamson; children, Jennifer (Glenn) Hayes and Robert Williamson (Steve Brazil); grandchildren, Casey (Billie) Hayes and Evelyn Allenbrand; and a great-granddaughter Hayden Hayes.
He was predeceased by his grandsons Cody Hayes and Cort Allenbrand.
A gathering for Roger will be held Wednesday, Jun 21, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of Life at 3:00 PM.
