

Ronald Stephen Sabellico, born on June 27th, 1946, in New York City, peacefully departed on January 16th, 2024, in Palm Harbor, FL, at the age of 77.
Affectionately known as Ronnie, he embarked on a remarkable life journey alongside his high school sweetheart and devoted wife, Linda Sabellico. Their love story blossomed on July 11th, 1964, and together they crafted a family overflowing with love and joy.
A loving and dedicated family man, Ronnie found immense pride in his role as the father of three sons. Mike, happily married to Lupita Sabellico, is blessed with sons, Shey, Kevin, and stepsons Otto and Rory. Stephen Sabellico, with children Nick, Matt, and Sarah, and son-in-law Landon, also shares in the warmth of Ronnie's love. Scott, with daughters Olivia and Isabella, and grandchildren Kai Blue and TJ, completes the cherished circle of family affection. Ronnie's love extended beyond his immediate family to include his dear siblings, Cherrie and her husband Al Gauthier, Vinnie and his wife Linda, Tina Danforth, and Janet Sabellico.
Ronnie's life journey commenced at the tender age of 18 when he married Linda. In the following years, they joyfully welcomed their first two children in 1965, Mike in January and Steve in November, followed by Scott in August 1969. While navigating various jobs to support his growing family, Ronnie found his true calling at Sweet Life Foods in 1970. His unwavering dedication propelled him from a warehouse clerk to the esteemed position of Director of Transportation. He retired in 1994, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and excellence.
During his retirement, Ronnie continued to make a positive impact on the lives of others. As an Ombudsman, he volunteered to provide assistance and support to those in nursing homes. Entrepreneurship also beckoned, leading Ronnie to own several businesses, including a local Yacht Club bar, a butcher shop, and a computer business.
Known by endearing nicknames like "RS” and "Hoppy," Ronnie's infectious spirit touched the lives of countless friends and colleagues. His unwavering support and mentorship served as inspiration for others to achieve their dreams. Many credit their success to Ronnie's guidance, acknowledging that they wouldn't have reached their goals without his encouragement.
Ronnie faced life's challenges with a perpetual smile and a kind heart. His resilience, compassion, and camaraderie will be warmly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to bringing laughter and joy into the lives of those around him, Ronnie was renowned for his unique sense of humor. Even his father-in-law affectionately referred to him as "The Greek Pollock Bastard," a nickname that only deepened the bonds of love within the family.
Within the family, Ronnie was cherished for his heartfelt letters and cards filled with words of wisdom, encouragement, and authenticity, especially during holidays, birthdays, milestone events, and moments when his family needed his support.
Ronald Stephen Sabellico leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
