

Sylvia Mae Bowman Clark, 85, of Spring Hill, Florida. Passed away at 6:00 am on November 25, 2024 in Spring Hill, Florida. Sylvia was born August 2, 1939 in Floyd County, Virginia to Frank and Zada Bowman. Sylvia married Keith Clark in Folkston, Georgia on October 10, 1980.
Sylvia played for her High School Varsity basketball team beginning in the 8th grade though graduation. She was Valedictorian of her High School class. She also played all four years of basketball in college. She came in 2nd place in debate for the Virginia State Championship. She toured the United States and Canada in a play for Asbury College. She was a well-respected public school teacher for well over 30 years, teaching English, Drama, and Speech. Sylvia had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was active in her church, teaching Sunday School and singing. Sylvia’s greatest achievement was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Sylvia is predeceased by her parents Frank and Zada Bowman, her brother Jack and Ralph Bowman, and sister Barbara Bowman. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband Keith Clark, son Gary (Cristelle) Osborne, granddaughters Elizabeth Osborne, and Rebekah (Derek) Page. Her sisters Iva Scaggs, Joan (Rick) Mullins, and Sue Juelis also survive Sylvia.
