

Alan Gottlieb, of New City, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the age of 64, at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence. He fought a courageous battle with brain cancer and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and loyal and devoted friend to all.
He was born in Manhattan, NY, and raised in Queens, NY. He graduated from SUNY at Cortland, where he met his loving wife, Fern, and received his MBA from St. Johns University. For over twenty years he worked for NYS Banking and Finance. During his free time he loved spending time with family, playing tennis, listening to music, watching sports and his favorite shows on TV.
Alan is survived by his wife, Fern, of 38 years, his son, Andrew, and daughter, Lauren, his sister, Joan Spring, and brother-in-law Peter, from Lincroft, NJ, and his niece, Melanie Harris (Barry), and nephew, Eric Spring (Elizabeth).
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY. Interment will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 7800 Myrtle Avenue, Glendale, NY, with Rabbi Fass officiating.
The family will be sitting shiva at the Gottlieb residence.
