Eugene Price

Eugene Price, age 79, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Like a typical CPA Gene, as he was called, left this earth on tax day. Gene was born in the Bronx, NY on May 9, 1935 and has been a resi¬dent of New City, NY since 1969. He graduated college from CCNY in 1956 followed by 2 years in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life Myrna Price (Walnut) on June 6, 1960 and had a loving mar¬riage for 54 plus years. Gene was a CPA his whole career and was loved by his colleagues and clients. He retired in 2012 from RRC Price at which point he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Gene was a huge sports fan and was a season ticket holder of the Yankees and Jets for many years. Music was another passion and his taste ranged from Frank Sinatra to the Eagles. The greatest joys of his life though came from family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife Myrna, children Ken (Nancy), Barry (Andrea) and Beth (Andrew) DeCourcey along with adopted son Danny Montgomery. His grandchildren are Amanda, Danielle and Leah DeCourcey, Jake Price, Michael Iozzo and Jordan Price. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17th, 2015 at 11am at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977 (845) 356-8600.
