Harriet Friedlander Werner

Mrs. Harriet Werner, age 88, of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, formerly of Nanuet, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Loving daughter of the late Sylvia and Harry Friedlander. Beloved wife of the late I. Walter Werner. Loving mother of Randi (Werner) and Fredric Cohen, Caryn (Werner) and the late Mark Burke and Joseph and Debbie Werner. Adored grandmother of Halli and her husband Trevor, Jordan and his wife Samantha, Brett and her husband Zachary, Jared, Alexis, Jason and Lindsay, and great grandmother of Madison, Hayden, Asher, Henry, Andrew and Max. Dear sister of Alice and her husband Leny Zucker, the late Hilda and her husband Bob Stuhl and Al and his wife Judy Friedlander. Cherished Aunt Harriet to her many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 13, 2017, 12PM, at Beth Am Temple, 60 E. Madison Avenue, Pearl River, New York. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey. A period of mourning will be observed at the home of Debbie and Joe Werner on Friday, January 13, 2017, following interment until sundown, Saturday, January 14, 2017, 6PM - 9PM, and Sunday, January 15, 2017, 12PM - 4PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Werner’s memory to Beth Am Temple or a charity of one’s choice.
