Marlene Lang

Marlene Lang of Suffern, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday February 14, 2016. Marlene was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to the late George and Jeanne Itkin on October 13, 1936. She was a graduate of Eastern District High School in 1954.Later her family relocated to Suffern, New York in 1972.

She worked as a secretary for the Metropolitan Vacuum Company in Suffern, NY for several years. She was then employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Supervisor’s office at the Town of Ramapo for 25 years until her retirement in 2006. After retirement Marlene was a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Marlene is survived by her loving daughter, Francine Veltidi of Little Ferry, NJ, and her devoted son Gary Lang of Suffern, NY. Marlene was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Lesser Kronisch. She is also survived by her nephew Barry Lesser and his wife Linda of New Fairfield, CT, and her niece Shari Colucci and her husband Michael of Valley Cottage, NY. She was adored by her great nieces and nephews, Todd Colucci, Erika Eng, Michael Colucci, Marielle Colucci, Carrie Oillaux and her precious great-great nephew Aiden Douglas Eng.

In addition to her family, Marlene will be greatly missed by many friends she held dearly.

Funeral Services will be held for Marlene on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, 11:00AM, at Hellman Memorial Chapels. Interment will directly follow at Mount Golda Cemetery, Huntington Station, NY.
