

Murray was born in Paterson, NJ on December 13,1925 to Jack and Clara Kadish. He was formerly of the Bronx and lived in New City for the past 53 years and recently became a "snowbird" residing in Delray Beach, FL during the colder months.
He was a veteran of WWII where he served in several American Branches and the Canadian Royal Air Force. On May 30, 1948 in the Harbor of Beirut, he was taken prisoner off the American Steamship Marine Carp.
He was the middle generation of Local 28 Sheet Metal workers along with his father Jack and son Louis. Murray along with Louis owned Carmen Electric Company based in New City.
Murray is predeceased by his beloved wife Carmen of 43 years and infant son Ralph.
He is survived by his children Millie Kadish Blake of Wappingers Falls, NY, Carol Drescher and husband John of Washingtonville, NY, Louis Kadish and wife Donna of Valley Cottage, NY, Phillip Kadish and wife Nancy of Wappingers Falls, NY.
He is also predeceased by Jennie Bortnick and survived by their son Dr. Karl Kadish and wife Mary of Houston, TX.
He is also survived by his beloved sister Celia Forestier and husband Larry and long time companion Barbara Menashe.
Murray had eight grandchildren, Derek, Darrin, Leslie, Laura, Alexandria, Leah, Nicolette, Justin and four great-grandchildren Hayden, Maxwell, Olivia and Madison.
Services to be held at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State St, Spring Valley, NY 10977. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM-11:00AM on Monday, November 5, 2012 with services immediately following, burial at King Solomon cemetery in Clifton, NJ
