This Journey Called Life by Roberta Brachfeld
As I wander along life’s interesting path
Lucky I’ve been to indulge in a friendly repast.
My plate has been filled with friends old and new
Some who chose to remain, while moved on just a few.
With some I have shared the fruits of my life
Which were often quite juicy
Other times not quite ripe.
My travels have led me right up to dessert
Where with a charmed life in my bowl
I‘ll indulge till I burst.
Now your able, to see my most precious friend
How I’d like my life’s journey
To come to an end.
My plate should be full of friends old and new
My tummy quite sated,
My heart content and real full.
And I certainly know how lucky am I
As my life’s cheerful journey now comes toward it’s end
To be able to send love and kisses when I say GOODBYE to my many friends.
For I know that they’ll be there right up to the end.
