Tanya Sherman, nee Alpert, 86, died on October 1, 2021, at Nyack Hospital of cancer. Tanya was a former English teacher at Ramapo Senior High School and veteran educator. She is survived by her husband, George Sherman of South Nyack; her daughter, Rorie Sherman and her husband, Scott Bujalski, of Montclair N.J.; her son, Jordan Sherman, and his family: wife Lori Sherman and their children Zachary and Valery Sherman, all of Yonkers; as well as her brother, Michael Alpert, his two children and their families. Funeral services will be held at Congregation Sons of Israel Nyack, 300 North Broadway, Nyack, NY, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 11:00 A.M. All attendees must be fully vaccinated to enter the synagogue.
