Kevin was born in East Orange N.J. but moved to Fayetteville N.C. with his mother. He attended Newbold Elementary School and graduated from E. E. Smith High School with Golden Bull Pride in 1976. He attended North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State University in Greensboro, N. C. where he received a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and met his wife Inga. He went on to study at Kettering University where he earned a Master Degree in Manufacturing Management.
Kevin worked for E.I. DuPont in Martinsburg West Virginia (1981-1985). In 1985 Kevin and his wife Inga moved to Sandusky, Ohio to work for Delphi Corporation (1985 – 2009). In Sandusky he joined Emmanuel Temple Church where he and his family were active members. At Emmanuel Temple Church, Kevin served as a Trustee along with other responsibilities. Kevin’s family was also active in the music ministry. After working for Delphi for 23 years he moved to Springboro, Ohio where he worked for Ross Casting and Innovations (2010 – 2018). He worked with Ross Casting for 8 years and decided to move on where he worked at Johnson Electric (2018 – 2019). In Dayton Kevin attended Abundant Life.
Kevin loved music and had a unique hobby of building speakers that his children enjoyed as they used them in their performance. Kevin loved listening to jazz and would always include Inga by asking her if she could hear a certain instrument in the background. The love he had for his pets was undeniable. He created a YouTube page where he would make videos about the food he feed the dogs, how he walked and socialized with them. His dream was that every dog be rescued from the Human Society. As if that wasn’t enough, he became an Author by writing a book called “Save Them Dogs”. It was time consuming but with Kevin’s great work ethic, perseverance and commitment he finished the book this year.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 35 years – A Pre-k educator, daughter, Dana Noelle – a videographer who resides in New York, N.Y. Kendall Tyler – a chef who resides in Dayton, Ohio. His mother Katherine McMillan Marable of N.C. a retired Educator and father Kenneth Reeves of East Orange N.J. along with many loving members and friends. His joy was helping people, loving his family and loving his dogs.
