Mark was born in Kettering, OH on January 12, 1967 to Judy and Henry Rodgers. He attended Vandalia Butler High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Michelle, wife of 32 years. He enjoyed playing many sports including football, basketball, and baseball. Mark continued his baseball career at the University of Cincinnati as a left-handed pitcher. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati. He held many technology roles over the years, ultimately ending at Kroger Technology where he held the position of Director of Integration Platforms and Enablement Services.
Mark enjoyed spending time with his family. A new title he was most proud of was Grandpa. He was not only the life of the party, he was the party. His friendly demeanor and ability to make people laugh is a characteristic that we will always remember. Other than spending time with his granddaughter, Shay, he enjoyed cooking, golfing with friends and family, and fixing things around the house. Mark was an outgoing and caring person whose presence will forever be missed.
Mark is survived by his wife, Michelle (Werling) Rodgers; daughters Ashley (David) Torchia and Abby (Michael) Castleman, son Alex Rodgers; adored grandchild Shay Torchia; parents Henry and Judy (Hagan) Rodgers; mother-in-law Sharon (Stolle) Werling; brother Mike (Diane) Rodgers. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law Bernard (Bud) Werling.
