Mattie May Richmond, age 89, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 24th, 2024. She was born on May 20th,1935 in Rockcastle County, KY to the late Roy and Marie Pace. Mattie loved spending time with her family and friends, and sharing her love of Jesus with others. She was a faithful member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Waynesville, OH for many years.
Mattie is survived by her sons, Jerry (Tonya) and Jeff (Amy); grandchildren, Luke (Gigi) and Lauren (Marcus); sisters, Opal, Ene and Melba; siblings-in-law, Ben (Elvie) and Lola; lifelong friends, Ruth, Randy and Larry Leming and Nancy Doggett, along with many other family members and friends. We would also like to extend special recognition to neighbors who have become family, Tom Lovely and Jamie Kitchen.
In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Herbert; sister, Ina; brothers-in-law, Lloyd, Raymond, Earl and Buck; and siblings-in-law, Ellen, Robert, Lillie, Lena, Gordon, Marshall and Herman.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N. Main St., Springboro, OH 45066, followed by a funeral service at 12:30pm with Pastor Tim Noble officiating and Pastor Randall Adams speaking. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
