won and prepared for the faithful by his Savior Jesus on January 24, 2021
and began his eternal life in the presence of his Heavenly Father. Bob was
placed on this earth by Him on June 7, 1972 to be a blessing in the family of
Lester “Glenn” and Doris Hamm of Germantown. A 1990 graduate of Valley
View High School, Bob graduated from Miami University in 1995 with
degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology, and was due to complete his
graduate degree from Kent State University in June of this year . On a
gorgeous November day in 1994, Bob vowed to "love, honor and cherish"
Wendy Sue Marsh, a covenant to which he was faithful for 26 years. Bob
began his career as an Ohio Public Employee with Warren County Juvenile
Corrections in 1995. After 15 years, he transitioned to a new career as an
Informational Technology Specialist for Mid-Pointe Library Systems where
he remained until his passing. He was a valued member of New Covenant
Church where he served on the Elder Board and was actively involved in
communion life. A dedicated family man, Bob enjoyed sharing his varied
interests with his girls. He was a lover of music, books, football, movies,
camping with friends and beach vacations. On weekends he was more
often than not, clothed in apparel supporting his beloved Cleveland
Browns or Michigan Wolverines. Bob has finished his race ahead of his
beloved, Wendy and their two daughters, Olivia and Sophie. He leaves
Olivia to carry on his love of Star Wars, and Sophie to champion his other
favorite, The Lord of the Rings. But surpassing all of these loves was Bob’s
love for Jesus and his wife, the true legacy he leaves his children. Bob is
survived by many family members and close friends who will miss him
immensely. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on
Thursday, January 28th at 7:00 p.m. at New Covenant Church, 4340 Union
Road, Franklin.
