Agnes U. Gaudet, 96, of Springfield died at 1:15 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2007 at St. John’s Hospice. Agnes was born on March 5, 1911 in Springfield, the daughter of James P. and Grace Marie Page Ostenburg. She married Romeo Gaudet on September 23, 1939 in Woodside, NY, he preceded her in death on December 10, 1977. Agnes was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the American Revolution. She was employed at Bulova Watch Factory in New York. She was also preceded in death by seven sisters: Alice Werner, Mary Pavlik, Irene Roth, Clair Simpson, Dorothy M. Rogers, Edna Metzroth and Della Cliford; five brothers: John, Francis Patrick, Roy, Raymond and an infant brother, Jimmy Ostenburg. Surviving are several nieces and nephews inclucing Pat Pavlik of Springfield. The family welcomes friends to visit from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield. Funeral Mass will follow visitation at 11:15 a.m., with Rev. Donald Meehling, celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family of Agnes U.
