Alexander Zabuski, Jr.

Alexander Zabuski Jr., 83, of Lewistown, Missouri, passed away on March 29, 2026 at Cuba Village Senior Living in Cuba, Missouri. He was born on October 7, 1942 in Springfield, Illinois to Alexander Zabuski Sr., and Edna Mae Jason. Alexander married Wanda Zabuski and she preceded him in death on October 10, 2019.

Mr. Zabuski is survived by three children: William (Bonnie) Zabuski of Lewistown, MO., Peggy Lee Dotzert of Beardstown and Mary Ann Allen-Zabuski of Beardstown, five cousins: Jeff (Lisa) Davis, Roy Roth, Vincent Zabuski, Sara Zabuski, Roy Jason, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Alexander was a US Army Veteran and he worked as a driver for ABC Roofing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends and in his later years he enjoyed playing guitar & singing with his church band. After going into nursing home care, he continued to sing and play for his fellow residents. His good friend and fellow band member Danny Wilson would often travel to join him in singing.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday April 9, 2026 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, with burial to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:30am until the time of service Thursday at Bisch and Son.
