Alynda Marie Crossin

Alynda was born December 11, 1963, in Springfield, the daughter of Thomas Edward Sr. and Ilene Nell (Collins) Golden.

Alynda was a lifelong resident of the Springfield area and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1981. She was employed as the treasurer for the City of Athens and then in Human Resources for the City of Springfield. Alynda was a very talented artist, loved to cook, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Alynda was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her children, Blake and Jessica Crossin, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Erika, Payton, Blair, Cashton, Giana, Clyde, Philli, and Garrett; mother, Ilene Golden of Springfield; companion, Bob Prior of Springfield; siblings, Lori L. (Dave) Robinson of Springfield, Thomas E. (Vicky) Golden, Jr of Chatham, and Gregory J. (Lily) Golden of Jefferson Parish, LA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
