

She was born on December 17, 1970, in Springfield, the daughter of the late David Grimm and Linda (Mouser) Grimm.
Amy worked as a teacher’s Aid for SASED Central and also worked part-time as a receptionist for Landmark Ford in Springfield. Previously she had taught at the Rochester, IL, and Riverton, IL, schools. She was involved in the Big Brother/Big Sister Program, was a volunteer with the APL (Animal Protective League), and was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church, but she had most recently been attending First United Methodist Church in Springfield.
She is survived by her mother Linda Grimm of Springfield; brother David “Chip” (wife Alicia) Grimm of Springfield; a sister Ann Pederson of Danville, CA; her aunt and uncle Diana and Chuck McLean of Normal, IL; 2 nephews, Sam Chadwick and Ian Pederson; and her cousins Darin and Kim McLean and their daughter Zoey.
Besides her father, David Grimm, she was preceded in death by her grandmother Vivian Mouser.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 10:30 am until time of the memorial service at 12 Noon at First United Methodist Church, 2941 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield.
