Ann T. Mayer, 80, of Springfield, formerly of Kincaid, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2001 at St. John's Hospice. She was born July 30, 1920 the daughter of Joseph and Helen Barci Pop in Stephenson, MI. She married James Edward Mayer. He preceded her in death April 17, 1992. Mrs. Mayer was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: James Edward Mayer; one son: John Raymond in 1992; one brother Joseph Pop and one sister: Catherine Verardi in 2000. She is survived by one son: Roy Joseph (wife, Judy) Mayer of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter: Barbara Ann Gough of Charleston, IL; two sisters: Helen (husband, John) Perozzo of Weslaco, TX, Margaret M. (husband, Albert) Puccetti of Tovey, IL; two brothers: Steve (wife, Jenny) Pop of Taylorville, IL; Ignatius (wife, Nioliva) Pop of Prescott, AZ; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Memorial servies will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Peter Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
