

Anne Marie Urban, 81, of Springfield, passed away at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2002 at St. John’s Hospice. Anne was born August 3, 1920 the daughter of Anthony and Barbara Krauskas Petreikis in Springfield. She married William J. “Bill” Urban at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Anne was a homemaker. She was previously employed at St. John’s Hospital as a Milk Lab Assistant for 10 years. She was a member of the Lithuanian-American Club, a former member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church for 50 years, St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and the Ss. Peter and Paul 55 and Over Club. She enjoyed Polka music, dancing and gardening. She also loved the color pink. She was very kind, generous, most caring and affectionate. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Pat, Joseph and Frank Petreikis and three sisters: Josephine Pavletich, Helen Hilofsky and Mary Schuck. She is survived by her husband: William “Bill” of Springfield; one daughter: Barbara A. (husband, Clarence “Butch”) Davis of Springfield; one son: William J. (wife, Sharon) Urban of Springfield; one sister: Dorothy (husband, Gilbert) Capranica of Springfield; four grandchildren: Deborah “Debbie” (husband, Michael) Ritter; Dianne Genovese; Brian A. Davis; Mark A. Urban; two great grandchildren: Maria Christine Genovese, Dalton M. Ritter and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2002. Visitation will begin with a wake service at 4:00 p.m. Concelebrated Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2002 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Reverend John Titus, principal celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Aloysius Catholic Church Shepherd of Student’s Fund, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield, IL 62702.
