Annette Fern Gay

Annette F. Gay, 66, of Springfield, passed away on May 21, 2025 at her residence. She was born on September 22, 1958 in St. Louis to Bobby Dean and Jacqueline (Meyer) Mosley. Annette is survived by her beloved husband Michael Gay. They married on November 9, 1985 in Springfield. She is also survived by her mother Jacqueline Mosley and 6 sisters: Debra Dean, Christine Wenke, Sherry Dean, Michelle (Dale) Toole, Paula (Ron) Peterson, and Melinda Gastorf.

Mrs. Gay is also survived by her children: Perry Williams, Jacqueline (Kevin) White and Mike (Crystal Micheletta) Gay, eight grandchildren: Gavin Michael Williams, Gabriel Williams, Keegan White, Jacob White, Kyle White, Alissa Gay, Mikey Gay, Jordan Gay and Micah Gay and one great-grandchild Alayla. Many neices and nephews that held a special place in her heart, especially Megan (Travis) Rife and her great niece and nephew Kayden and Kolton Rife.

Annette owned her own in-home childcare, A Mother’s Touch, for seventeen years where she provided love and exceptional care to many families. One of her earliest ambitions was to simply be the best person she could be, always going above and beyond for all those she cared for. Some of her proudest moments were raising her children and always being there for family and friends in their time of need.

Annette lived by the rules of: “life is what you make it,” “you have a choice, choose happiness” and “always be grateful and know that life is ever changing.” Annette had a love for music and a talent for art. What she loved most was her family and making others happy. She wanted to be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, mother, wife, aunt and friend.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00am until 10:30am on Tuesday prior to the graveside service at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road.
