Ashley Nichole Underwood

Ashley was born November 19, 1996, in Springfield, the daughter of Scott Eugene, Sr. and Kelly Ann Davis Underwood.

She graduated from Lanphier High School in 2015 and was employed as a teacher at Calvary Academy Daycare. Ashley enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and loved Harry Potter.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Marie Underwood; grandmother, Julie Sorenson; and cousin, Savanna “Vannie” Wilson.

Ashley is survived by her parents, Scott and Kelly Underwood of Springfield; fiancé, Wesley Myles of Springfield; grandparents, Kaydo and Ellen Underwood of Springfield, Chuck and Sharon Davis of Chatham; and Jo Ellen Davis of Springfield; brother, Scott Underwood, Jr. of Springfield; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
