Barbara Ann Nation, 63, of Mason City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at her residence. Barbara was born May 30, 1947 in Springfield, the daughter of John Robert and Anna Agatha Auerbach Nation. Barbara was also a registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Anthony (wife, Jill) Nation of Mason City; three grandchildren, Daniel Vorderstrasse, Brielle Nation and Trent Nation; brother, Robert (wife, Sue) Nation of Springfield; niece, Bobbie Jean Nation; and several cousins including, Henrietta, Patricia and Cathy. Family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Jallas officiating. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the ceremonies.
