Barbara Mae Sheppard

Barbara was born on September 12, 1944, in Springfield, the daughter of Fred and Mary Minder Britz. She married Kenneth Sheppard on January 11, 1964; he preceded her in death on June 13, 2015.

Barbara was a Lanphier High School graduate. She was a long-time member of Berlin Christian Church. Through the years, she worked at TJ Maxx and Dannenbergers. Barbara enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading books, camping, and in her younger years, she enjoyed sewing.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Mark (wife, Linda) Sheppard of Springfield; daughter, Jessica Graham of New Berlin; four grandchildren, Natasha (husband, Bryan) Stephens of Berlin, Kendra and MacKenzie Graham, both of New Berlin, and Kyle Sheppard of Springfield; six great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Levi, McKayla, Izabella, Hank, and Cash; two brothers, Carl Britz of Pekin and Matt Britz of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-New Berlin, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the visitation. Private family burial will be held at Berlin Cemetery at a later date.
