Barbra Ann Green, 85, of Riverton, formerly of Sherman, passed away on May 14, 2025 while a resident of Country Lane Memory Care in Riverton. She was born on August 31, 1939 in Springfield to Fred Goulden and Charlotte Neuber Goulden. Barbra married Donald Green on June 22, 1958 and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2022.
Mrs. Green is survived by two daughters: Adina (Steve) Dunn and Dora (Joseph) Crenshaw both of Springfield, three grandchildren: Mitch (Robin) Dunn, Ryan Schuh and Eric (Kitty) Dunn and six great-grandchildren: Garrett Dunn, Ryan Schuh Jr., Amelia Schuh, Chloe Dunn, Wesley Dunn and William Schuh.
Barbra worked for Myers Brothers Department Store and she retired from Illinois Bell in 1989 after 32 years of service as an engineer. She was a member of the Bell Pioneers and she loved to read, work puzzles and she had an extensive collection of Longaberger baskets.
Cremation rites were accorded. The family will host a memorial gathering at a later date.
