Bernadine Mary "Bernie" Gorman, 95, of Springfield, passed away at 6:42 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the Fair Hills Residence-IL Presbyterian Home. Mrs. Gorman was born on November 23, 1922, in Springfield, the daughter of Daniel Michael and Mary Luby Dacy. She married Edward "Ted" Gorman on September 9, 1949, in Springfield; he preceded her in death on May 4, 1974. Mrs. Gorman was a long-time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Eileen Connolly and Margaret Hickey. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Hobson and husband Ron Hobson of Springfield; her grandson, Teddy Hobson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 South Walnut St., Springfield, with Rev. Jeff Grant officiating.
