Betty J Haynes

She was born April 15, 1924 the daughter of Leades C. and Velma V. (Nichols) Rollman. She married James S. Haynes August 24, 1946 and he preceded her in death July 3, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Betty worked as a licensed realtor with Chapman & Chapman and then as an administrator at the Illinois Presbyterian Home in Springfield, and then retired from Doctor's Hospital where she worked as a billing administrator. She then worked for Target Department Store.

She was an avid card player. She was a member of various pinnacle and bridge clubs in the past years. She was a former member of First Christian Church where she was in the choir and a member of the women's circle. She later joined Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild.

Surviving are her sons; Keith (wife Kathy) Haynes of Chatham, and Craig (wife Kim) Haynes of Springfield, her five grandsons; Christopher Haynes of Gilbert, AZ, Kyle (Christa) Haynes of East Alton, IL, Matthew Haynes of Belleville, IL, Adam Haynes of Reston, VA, and Carl Haynes of Springfield, IL., her brother; Leades C. (wife Norma) Rollman Jr. of Congerville, IL, a niece and a nephew. Betty was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her great grandson Caleb due very soon.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. where visitation will be from 9:30 am Friday December 17, 2010 until time of funeral services there at 10:30 am Friday. Rev. Dr. Wayne P. Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
