Beverly K. Babicky

Beverly K. Babicky, 65, of Springfield, passed on at 7:14 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Beverly was born on August 23, 1947 in Springfield, the daughter of Raymond and Frances Nesch Armes, Sr. She married Tom Babicky on November 2, 1967 in Springfield. Beverly graduated from Lanphier High School. She retired in 2003 after 38 years of service with the State of Illinois, Central Management Services and worked as an office volunteer for the Riverton Fire Department. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and going to casinos. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Armes. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tom Babicky, Sr. of Springfield; son, Thomas L. (wife, Michelle) Babicky, Jr. of Riverton; daughter, Angie (husband, Gerry) Williams of Springfield; three grandchildren, Keagan Babicky, Lucas Patterson, and Madie Williams; two great-grandchildren, Camryn and Brenton; mother, Frances Armes of Springfield; one brother, Raymond E. Armes, Jr. (companion, Jo) of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Graveside Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
