Carl Edward Roth, 73, of Springfield, died at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at St. John's Hospice. Carl was born April 20, 1936 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Charles and Evelyn Hensler Roth. He married Vickie Farrell on October 31, 1975 in Jacksonville, IL. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and was employed as Vice President in Underwriting for an insurance company. Carl was a member of the Ansar Shriners and was a 3rd Degree Mason. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Roth of Springfield; son Matt Farrell of Springfield; and granddaughter, Madeline Farrell. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
