

Carol Lee Kane, 69, of Rochester, passed away peacefully into Gods arms on Monday, June 19, 2017 at her residence with her family beside her. Carol was born May 10, 1948 in Springfield, the daughter of Frank E. and Evelyn R. Jacobs Barker. She married the love of her life, Michael Leonard Kane, on May 17, 1980. Carol was a graduate of Glenwood High School and attended Lincoln Christian College. She was employed most recently by the State of Illinois and previously at Nyilas Cleaning Services. She was a member at Rochester Christian Church and previously Lakeside Christian Church. Although Carol had many talents her passion was singing. She enjoyed many years singing in the choir and providing music ministry to children every Sunday. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Michael Kane of Rochester; son, Michael P. Kane of Springfield; daughter, Megan (Jerry Webster) Kane of Springfield; step-daughter, Teresa (Jason) Kitchen of Edwardsville; five grandchildren, Maraya, Julian, Emmy, Myles, and Jacob; sister, Nancy (Paul) Klockengea of Daytona Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
