She was born on May 4, 1951, the daughter of Gerald and Juanita “Pearl” Seiler Henderson.
Suzie worked for the Illinois Department of Aging. She graduated from Galesburg High School Class of 1969. She loved to sew and make crafts, and she was the owner of Simply Suzie’s Crafts. She was very social and made many friends. Suzie was also a past president of the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ginger Henderson; and stepdaughter, Jennifer Hunt.
Suzie is survived by her husband, Paul Rothenberg; stepson, Jerry Rothenberg; step-grandchild, Marcus Rothenberg; sister, Dorrie (Richard) Johnson; mother-in-law, Gladys Rothenberg; and niece, Morgan Johnson.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
Graveside Ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Oneida Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
