Carolyn was born March 22, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Michael and Carmela Petrullo Naccarato. She married Arthur David D’Amaro on May 29, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY. She lived in several places including, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and New York. Some of her happiest times were her 30 years spent in Arizona.
Carolyn was a gifted cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed traveling, playing cards, shopping and going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Salvatore Naccarato; sister-in-law, Nancy D’Amaro Naccarato; brother, Michael Naccarato; her parents, Michael and Carmela Naccarato; daughter-in-law, Nancy Sly D’Amaro; brother-in-law, Albert Giardina; and sister-in-law, Josephine D’Amaro Giardina.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of almost 70 years, Arthur; sons, David (Jennifer), John (Rosemary), and Douglas (Laurie) D’Amaro; cherished grandchildren, Michael (Becky), Michele (Reginald) Williams, Steven (Alejandra), Brian, and Nathan; sister, Rosemary (Austin) Jones; sister-in-law, Rene Naccarato; and many adored nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Burial will be held in the spring at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carolyn’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
