and grandmother. Jean passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at her home at Rochester
Estates Assisted Living.
Jean was born on December 5, 1938, in Taylorville, Illinois, to Roy and Clara Hunter. She married Bob Hinrichs on June 17, 1956, at Fifth Presbyterian Church in Springfield. Together they welcomed two daughters, Pam Bunch (husband, Steve) of Rochester and Patty Wynn (husband, Dave) of Elgin.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
In addition to her daughters and their husbands, survivors include four grandchildren, Brendan Bunch (fiancée, Abbey Leischner), Adam Bunch (girlfriend, Ava Greer), Elizabeth Wynn, and Katherine Wynn; brother, Carol Hunter (wife, Barbara); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jean enjoyed trying to keep up with her busy grandchildren and playing bingo with her friends at
Rochester Estates.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
Private family burial will be held at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
