Chuck was born May 23, 1961, in Springfield, the son of Charles Roy and Elizabeth Lanphier Beard.
He loved to play basketball and baseball and was an excellent tennis player, loved to listen to music, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Chuck is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (John “Jack”) Crosby of Springfield; brothers, John (Teresa) Beard, Tom Beard, and Pete (Carrie) Beard, all of Springfield; stepmother, Susan Beard of Springfield; aunt, Susan Kelley of Springfield; and several uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Private family burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
