He was a skilled and avid basketball player who enjoyed both watching and teaching basketball. Chas also played in several Gus Macker Tournaments over the years, winning several. When he wasn't playing, he amassed a collection of baseball and basketball cards to be rivaled. He was passionate about reading, especially about history and underwater adventure. He lived to fish and was great at it. From sunrise to sunset, hot or cold, in a boat or on the bank, no matter what was biting, Chas spent countless hours waiting for the big one and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren his ways. Above all else, he was a faithful Catholic who loved his wife, kids, and family.
