Christopher G. Caupert

Mr. Caupert is survived by his parents of Springfield, one sister Cara (Chris) Barnett of Springfield and one niece Taryn Barnett.

Chris graduated from Springfield High School with the class of ‘91 and earned his Bachelors degree in Psychology from Sangamon State University.

From an early age Chris took an interest in cars and electronics. These interests led him to work at Best Buy and Circuit City helping people pick out car stereos. In his free time you could find him helping his friends and family with their stereos and cars. Chris’ enthusiasm for cars led him to purchase two Ford Mustangs over the years that he could customize and work on. Later, Chris worked in the hotel hospitality industry, where he enjoyed talking and getting to know travelers from across the county. Chris was also a big movie buff, spending many hours enjoying action and science fiction films from all decades.

Cremation rites were accorded and an inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Illinois Foodbank.
